EyeCoat is a 2% hydroxypropyl
methylcellulose (HPMC)
viscoelastic with a nominal viscosity of 2,000 +/- 500 cPs.

EyeCoat is clear, sterile and non-pyrogenic.

EyeCoat is used during
intraocular surgery to
protect intraocular tissue,
create and maintain space, and to manipulate tissue. 

HPMC viscoelastics have been demonstrated to have a high degree of biocompatibility.  Its dispersive characteristics are especially suited for protecting the endothelium. 

EyeCoat is supplied in a glass syringe with a 23 gauge cannula.

No Refrigeration Needed.

viscoelastic with a nominal viscosity of 15,000 +/- 3,000 cPs. 

EyeCoat Plus is clear, sterile and non-pyrogenic. 

EyeCoat Plus is used during intraocular surgery to protect intraocular tissue,
create and maintain space and to manipulate tissue.
 
HPMC viscoelastics have been demonstrated to have a high degree of biocompatibility. 

Its dispersive characteristics are especially suited for
protecting the endothelium,
while its higher viscosity enables it to effectively maintain space and gently manipulate delicate
intraocular tissue. 

EyeCoat Plus is supplied in a glass syringe with a 23 gauge cannula.

EyeCoat SH is a high viscosity 1.4% sodium hyaluronate
viscoelastic with a nominal viscosity of 15,000 +/- 3,000 cPs.
EyeCoat SH is clear, sterile and non-pyrogenic. 

EyeCoat SH is used during surgery to protect intraocular tissue, create and maintain space, and to manipulate tissue.  Sodium hyaluronate
viscoelastics have been demonstrated to have a high degree of biocompatibility. 

Its cohesive characteristics are especially suited for creating and
maintaining space and gently manipulating delicate intraocular
tissue.

EyeCoat SH is supplied
in a glass syringe with
a 27 gauge cannula.

Needs No Refrigeration.

Sodium Hyaluronate Viscoelastic

Available Range:  1.0% - 3.0 %
Viscosity:  2,000 - 350,000 cPs
Molecular Weight:   1.6 - 2.0 million daltons

Description:
EyeCoat SH is a sterile, isotonic, non-pyrogenic,
and non-inflammatory viscoelastic solution
based on sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid).
It is physiologically balanced salt solution
containing hyaluronic acid.

Indications:
EyeCoat SH is a HA based viscoelastic that is used
during posterior and anterior ophthalmic surgery,
including cataract extraction and intraocular lens
implantation.  It is also used during glaucoma
filtering, corneal transplantation and retinal
attachment.  HA viscoelastics are especially
suited for phaco emulsification.  HA viscoelastics
may also be used to coat intraocular lenses and
ophthalmic surgical instruments during cataract
extraction and intraocular lens implantation.
It must be entirely removed from the eye after
completion of any procedure.

Contraindications:
There are no known contraindications at this time
when used as recommended. 

Adverse Reactions:
Sodium hyaluronate has been known to create
an ephemeral  rise in intraocular pressure in
some cases.

Precautions:
EyeCoat SH must be entirely removed from the eye
after any ophthalmic procedure by irrigation and/or
aspiration.
Never reuse cannulas.
Avoid trapping air bubbles.
Use only if sodium hyaluronate is clear.
Use only after ensuring the glass container is not
damaged.
